Students are able to complete their internship virtually, but also in person if it is feasible and can be done safely.

Exigances

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

Students are in the Post-Graduate certificate program. All students seeking a placement have work experience, as well as an undergraduate degree or diploma.

The students seeking virtual placements have skills and have completed studies in the following areas:

  • International Banking and Finance
  • Global Logistics
  • International Business Law
  • Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development
  • Research Methods for Trade and Development
  • Geopolitics of Trade and Development
  • Global Business Strategy
  • Corporate Social Responsibility and International Development
  • Developing an International Business Plan
  • Principles of Freight Forwarding
  • International Marketing

If you are interested in offering a virtual placement to 1-3 students, please submit a project describing one of the major types of work the student would be doing for your organization.
