Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Ryerson University in the School of Occupational and Public Health to be your virtual co-op students/ interns, in a project-based experience. Co-op students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.

Students in these programs are poised to succeed in the integrated work areas of: injury and disease prevention in the workplace by anticipating, evaluating and controlling physical, biological, chemical and other hazards.

Students are required to complete 350-420 hours of placement between May to August.

Our students are looking for exclusively paid co-op placements. As such, please only request to work with this program if your organization is able to offer paid opportunities.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.

Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the internship. However, these deliverables must be discussed and agreed upon prior to the start of the internship.

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.
