Through this NAIT course, students have focused on Public Sector (Government, with a focus on Financial Reporting and the application of public sector (government) accounting, budgeting and financial reporting principles and methods.

Areas of our students' expertise include public sector CPA Handbook accounting standards and public sector GAAP, government budgeting and planning, government and not-for-profit financial reporting and financial analysis, including public sector auditing.

The course has enabled students to effectively explore the application of decision making and communication skills including developing critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Financial assessment of budgeting in government, non-profits
Evaluation of programs and effectiveness
Case management services
Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting
Identify process weaknesses and recommend appropriate financial and internal controls to address identified weaknesses.
