Being a student in the project as a Medical Research Reviewer from Racialized Students in Healthcare within the Advance Ontario program, I can say my experience has been positive. The employers are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in the healthcare field, providing opportunities for racialized students to gain experience in medical research. The team had a supportive mentor (Mary), who invested in providing guidance and feedback to us, the students. I indeed had a great time learning and applying what I learned while completing this project.
