RESEARCH ASSISTANTS – Canadian Wellbeing Knowledge Network (CWKN)

The McGill Institute for Health and Social Policy is leading the creation of the CWKN, a new national cross-sectoral knowledge network to inform and bring diverse perspectives to pan-Canadian evidence-based policies prioritizing wellbeing in Canada and establishing Canada as a global leader in wellbeing policy knowledge. One of the CWKN objectives over the coming year is to do a comprehensive Community Mapping of wellbeing initiatives across the country at policy, practice, and community levels. The IHSP is looking for two Research Assistants to do a web-based scan of academic, government, and non-governmental/community-based wellbeing policy initiatives at local, provincial and national levels. This work will involve documenting who is doing what, how their particular needs and objectives fit into a broader wellbeing approach, and what language is being used to communicate the intent and methods. In addition, the RAs will help map which groups are already connected, and the knowledge gaps different communities are facing. Preference for senior undergraduate or graduate-level students with experience doing broad comprehensive web-based searches, knowledge of different levels of government and in particular community-level actors, and ability to read and understand French and English.
