content creation canva (software) digital content revenue stream newsletters resilience marketing poster design tiktok social mediaWe would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and market. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.
La Connexional is a community focused social enterprise that is run by a team of dedicated individuals on a part-time basis. We have steadily grown over 4 years, from inaugurating Alberta's only Afro-Latin Festival to building a robust and resilient community through innovative events and workshops. We're currently formalizing our processes and developing new revenue streams in light of the COVID-19 pandemic with the goal of scaling La Connexional nationally and creating impactful employment opportunities.
To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:
- Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics;
- Help create copy and design posters for product and/or event launches;
- Assist with a social media video launches to promote our organization;
- Evaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector/market;
- Bring their creativity and ideas to the table and help bring them to life;
- Identify media outlets and influencers that can create positive coverage of La Connexional and the work that we do.
Ideally, the chosen intern will be working on content creation & managing various social media channels for our organization, including video, social media, and other avenues that we can use as go-to marketing tools. The most important social media channels for us are Instagram & Facebook and we're looking to develop our Tiktok account as well. Ultimately, La Connexional wants to ensure the intern has a valuable experience and is flexible in providing the intern with projects and work that best align with their future career goals and plans.
We would provide access to a number of different online tools (such as canva, invideo, blogely, writesonic, etc...) and we are very open to acquiring new ones to help you achieve your goals.
Our handle is @laconnexional across all socials. Give us a follow !
If you like the signts and sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.
A student or team with excellent writing, video skills, and creativity would be the ideal candidate for this project. We encourage people from all walks of life and backgrounds to apply.
Upon being selected for the project, La Connexional will meet with the selected team/student to discuss preferences.
Students can expect to use an intuitive project management software in order to organize themselves and keep track of the initiatives they take on as well as be in regular contact with the corresponding La Connexional team member(s) who will be their point person for the duration of the project.
Students can also connect with other team members if their interests align/want to explore different areas of the business (i.e: photography, videography, finance, marketing/pr, sales, dance, creative direction, community building, etc).
