Position: Digital Marketing & Communications Fellow

Duration: 12 weeks

Time Commitment: 10-15 hours per week

Background:

Millions of aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, face formidable barriers in their entrepreneurial journeys. The entrepreneurship landscape is marred by inequalities, with as many as 95% of Black business owners being the sole employees in their companies. Women, especially women of color, are historically underfunded, with only 1.9% of VC funding in 2022 going to female-founded companies, marking a decline from the previous year.

Runwei™ was founded to address these disparities head-on. Our mission is to disrupt the barriers limiting access to capital, networks, and resources for underprivileged entrepreneurs. Leveraging Generative AI and Predictive AI, we aim to level the playing field, providing tailored opportunities and personalized insights to empower entrepreneurs. Role Overview:

As a Digital Marketing & Communications Fellow at Runwei™, you will play a pivotal role in communicating our mission and vision to the world. You will be responsible for managing and executing email marketing campaigns, leading email marketing automation, and developing strategies to optimize email performance. The ideal candidate will have experience developing email campaigns and automation in Beehiiv.ai or Yesware CRM from setup through delivery and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Email marketing campaigns from setup through delivery and reporting.
• Develop and manage email campaigns and automation in Beehiiv.ai and Yesware CRM.
• Code mobile-optimized email templates with HTML and CSS for various email clients.
• Manage subscriber lists and maintain subscriber data hygiene.
• Develop and implement email marketing strategies, including A/B testing and segmentation.
• Oversee mission-critical email marketing automations through Yesware CRM and/or Beehiiv.ai.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage email requests and ensure best practices and branding.
• Monitor email marketing metrics, analyze performance, and optimize future campaigns.
• Stay updated on email marketing trends and lead brainstorming sessions for continuous improvement.
• Become proficient in SmartSuite, Yesware CRM, Beehiiv.ai for effective campaign execution.

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a graduate school program, preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS for coding email templates.
• Experience with email marketing platforms (Beehiiv.ai, Yesware CRM, etc.).
• Familiarity with email list management, segmentation, and hygiene best practices.
• Strong understanding of email marketing compliance (CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR).
• Proficient in GSuite/Google Workspace, Canva, and Yesware CRM.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
