Ancestral Hands Midwives (non profit organization) is looking for assistance with grant applications to acquire funds that will support our mission: to reduce racial disparities in maternal outcomes and improve the experiences and outcomes for Black people during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods.

We're looking for students to help us:

  • Research and create a list of grant opportunities utilizing Google, and grant searching platforms such as Pocketed.
  • Compile a master list of grant answers from existing grant applications and input the information into the provided blueprint.
  • Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for funding based on the provided documentation (which will include the organization's mission and vision statement as well as previous grant applications).
  • Complete 1-4 grant applications (depending on the length of the application) that can then be submitted by the organization.

Students will need to:

  • Review company info and the provided grant writing blueprint
  • Search for and compile a list of grant opportunities and add them to the master list
  • Complete grant applications
