Raven Reads is a Canadian, social impact driven Indigenous subscription box that connects global subscribers with authentic Indigenous cultures and educational content. We curate books and giftware from Indigenous authors and entrepreneurs across North America and ship our boxes to subscribers around the world. We are global brand with a mission to raise awareness of contemporary Indigenous cultures, and to support Indigenous entrepreneurs and youth literacy in North America.

Raven Reads is a rapidly growing e-commerce private company with thousands of customers around the world. We are seeking a team of information technology students specialising in security and data management to complete a review of our data security and protection systems, design a data security policy and recommendations for improved management procedures. Additional work would include a review of our overall IT security and data management system.

Mentorat

Students will have direct access to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. The team will meet to establish project scope and milestones, and will have regular checkins via telephone or Zoom as needed to monitor progress and answer any questions.
