The main goal of the Content Creation/Writer intern's project is to establish a strong content foundation that aligns with Sports After 6's mission and engages the target audience effectively. This involves:

  1. Content Quality: Creating high-quality and engaging content, including blog posts, articles, athlete profiles, and social media updates, that resonates with the audience.
  2. Content Strategy: Contributing to the development of a content strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals, reflecting the importance of sports stories and athlete achievements.
  3. Content Promotion: Sharing content on various platforms, including social media, to promote it and engage the audience.
  4. Content Editing and Review: Ensuring content accuracy, clarity, and consistency through editing and proofreading.
  5. Analytics and Reporting: Monitoring content performance and providing insights to enhance future content efforts.

The overarching goal is to build a robust content foundation that showcases the company's dedication to celebrating local athletes and their stories while also attracting and retaining an engaged audience. The final presentation serves as an opportunity for the intern to demonstrate their thorough understanding of the role's requirements and their contributions to achieving this goal.

Livrables

Responsibilities:

  1. Content Research and Strategy (Approximately 10 hours):
  • Research the target audience, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the development of a content strategy that aligns with the company's mission and goals.
  • Plan and prepare for the final presentation (5 hours).
  1. Content Creation (Approximately 30 hours):
  • Write high-quality and engaging content, including blog posts, articles, athlete profiles, and social media updates.
  • Create content that highlights sports stories, athlete achievements, and related topics.
  • Collaborate with the Community Manager to ensure content aligns with community engagement efforts.
  • Plan and prepare for the final presentation (10 hours).
  1. Content Editing and Proofreading (Approximately 10 hours):
  • Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Check for proper grammar, spelling, and style.
  • Plan and prepare for the final presentation (5 hours).
  1. Social Media Content (Approximately 10 hours):
  • Create and schedule social media posts to promote content and engage the audience.
  • Use social media management tools to publish and track content performance.
  • Plan and prepare for the final presentation (5 hours).
  1. Analytics and Reporting (Approximately 10 hours):
  • Monitor content performance and user engagement metrics.
  • Create regular reports on content reach and impact, providing insights for improvement.

  1. Knowledge Transfer (Approximately 10 hours):
  • Train and transfer knowledge to other team members regarding content creation best practices, so they can contribute to ongoing content efforts.

The final presentation, will provide the intern with an opportunity to showcase a thorough understanding of the role's requirements and demonstrate the impact of their work in content creation.

Supporting students during their 80-hour Email Marketing Coordinator internship is vital to their success and the success of the project. Here are some ways interns can expect to be supported:

  1. Onboarding: Start with a comprehensive onboarding process. Introduce the student to your company's mission, values, and email marketing goals. Provide them with background information about your target audience.
  2. Training: Offer training on the selected email marketing platform, including how to set up campaigns, create templates, and manage lists. Additionally, provide guidance on designing emails and crafting effective email content.
  3. Clear Expectations: Clearly define the project's objectives and the specific tasks the student is expected to complete within the 80-hour internship.
  4. Regular Check-Ins: Schedule regular check-in meetings to assess progress, answer questions, and provide feedback. These meetings can occur weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the project's timeline.
  5. Mentorship: Assign a mentor or supervisor who can provide guidance and support throughout the internship. This person should be available to answer questions and offer assistance as needed.
  6. Resource Access: Ensure that the student has access to all the necessary resources and tools they need to complete their tasks, including the email marketing platform, templates, and contact lists.
  7. Collaborative Environment: Encourage collaboration with other team members. They can learn from colleagues with related roles and gather insights that enhance their understanding of your company's operations.
