The goal of this project is to research best practices in new program development for a new climate action program that would focus on community-based wood-chipping incentives, and translate that research into a compelling business case, outlining the benefits, costs, and potential returns on investment for implementing chipping incentives. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Researching current wood chipping incentive programs and best practices in new program development.


- Developing a business case for implementing a wood chipping incentive program for Transition Salt Spring.


- Outlining the benefits, costs, and potential returns on investment for implementing chipping incentives.


- Exploring potential sources of funding and other resources for the program.


Livrables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


- Understanding of current wood chipping incentive programs and best practices in new program development.


- A comprehensive business case for implementing a wood chipping incentive program for Transition Salt Spring.


- Outlining the benefits, costs, and potential returns on investment for implementing chipping incentives.
