The goal for this project is to improve the design of our current platform as well as the user experience of internal tools.

This will involve:

• Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product.
• Conducting background research on our internal tooling
• Going through user interviews to gather feedback about areas for improvement
• Identifying key areas of focus which might return the best results in a redesign. We have some in mind, but user interviews may help with discovery of other areas.
• Learning and using various software design tools. We primarily use Figma.
• Developing high fidelity designs, creating new workflows in our internal tooling, and testing new designs and workflows with users

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

• Familiarize themselves with our existing product
• Familiarize themselves with a tools such as Figma
• Engage with users through user interviews
• Design new screens and workflows
• Create feedback loop with users to iterate on new designs until users are satisfied and ready for implementation

You will work closely with the project lead who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to your tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
