Internship Description

We are currently engaging with industry projects that we need to connect with the right research partner working with a technology matching the industry needs. To achieve this we need your help to assist us with a detailed analysis, flow diagrams of our platform process and the way of processing data.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Research similar applications in IP databases like WIPO.
• Prepare a report of our method of processing data.
• Include details of the data collected and how it is processed.
• Prepare an engineering technical document for preparing to fill a patent
• Review similar patent applications
• Fill the patent application
• Discuss with the board technical details that should be considered in the application

The goal at the end of the internship is to:

• Have our patent application submitted.

Number of required hours per week:

• 20 hours

Deliverables:

1. What are your desired deliverables?: Patent application document, Brief on the patent details including an engineering technical document and recommendations.
2. What are the tasks you want to complete to produce these deliverables?:

• Review similar patent applications
• Fill the patent application
• Discuss with the board technical details that should be considered in the application
• Apply your knowledge to assess the quality of the application
• Provide advice on the best way to proceed with IP Canada

Weekly sessions with a project supervisor.
