environmental impact assessments research
Détails

Looking for students potentially interested in research who have training in environmental assessment to help us understand two possible things:

1. the degree to which increased temperature increases air pollution due to favouring smog-formation and how local that effect might be (i.e. is the level of pollution caused in this way noticeably different at a neighbourhood level based on the Urban Heat Island Effect?).

2. the environment impact of future business in terms of energy used by servers, pollution associated with equipment we use, any travel done by staff, etc.

Livrables

Provide a report based on the above goals.

Mentorat

Supervision by our Head of Science (graduate student climate researcher at Simon Fraser University's Climate Research Lab).
