Students will research, plan, draft and produce an informal analytical report appropriate to the challenge. This could include:

  • Background research
  • Progress report
  • Final report options: investigative, recommendation, justification, feasibility, comparison, or proposal

Final report elements:

  1. Introduction
  2. Problem statements, questions, and purpose
  3. Research Summary
  4. Justification / Recommendations
  5. Summary and Action

Exemples de projets

In this assignment, students will dive deep into a secondary literature review on a particular challenge, problem, situation or opportunity that you provide. They’ll work with a contact from your organization to gain a thorough understanding of the needs of your business and (if applicable) the competitive landscape of your industry. As students, they have access to the extensive college research databases including academic, industry, and primary research not generally available to the public or business owners.

As a participating organization, you’ll be asked to provide a particular question, topic or challenge that will be their area of focus. Their review and recommendations may encompass other areas as well, but they’ll provide specific recommendations to address your chosen topic.

Examples could include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strategies to respond to current and future challenges, which could include a response to Covid-19
  • Improving customer experiences
  • Business trends in technology, customer preference, environmental sustainability, and/or social responsibility
  • Employee recruitment and retention practices
  • Digital marketing strategy effectiveness
