Our biomedical engineering intern will be responsible for conducting an extensive literature search on smart clothing that can deliver an electrical current.

Livrables

The objective of this internship is to do an extensive research in order to list all the bone growth, muscle stimulator or nerve stimulation technologies on the market.

The research must allow to list the following information:

-All devices in these markets
-Which ones are approved by regulatory bodies such as: Health Canada, FDA, CE Mark in Europe, Asia, Australia or others
-Find out which devices are supported by patents and in which country
-Find out how the devices work
-Determine how the electrodes are made, integrated into the garment (threads in the fabric), carbon electrodes added and clipped inside the garment
-Determine how the current is delivered, i.e., how the contact of the electrode on the skin is established
-What are the parameters of their electric current
-Determine which ones have disposable or replaceable electrodes
-Determine which of these devices can be washed either by hand or by machine
-What is the cost of these devices
-List any other important informations

Mentorat

The student will be accompanied by the company's scientific team and by various external collaborators.
