Ancestral Hands Midwives is looking for assistance fundraising to support our mission: to reduce racial disparities in maternal outcomes and improve the experiences and outcomes for Black people during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum periods. As all non profit organizations, we are always looking for funding to sustain our organization and we would love your help.

We're looking for students to help us plan a fundraising event

Students will be expected to:

• Familiarize themselves with our mission, vision and values
• Research and create a list of fundraising ideas
• Create a fundraising plan including: goals, mission, tactics and timeline, based on an agreed upon fundraising idea
• Submit an organized fundraising plan report including event type, sample budget, communication templates and marketing material

Deliverables:

• Master list of fundraising ideas
• 1 complete fundraising plan report

• Familiarize yourself with the organization by reading provided documents
• Research fundraising best practices
• Organize and synthesize research into a master list of fundraiser ideas
• Create a final plan that can be executed by the organization

We will provide ongoing support to students and conduct weekly check-ins. We will provide resources such as existing research and previous grant applications.
