Amazon FBA Market Research Analyst
In this project, students will be tasked with solving a real-world problem related to market research for Amazon products. The primary goal is to develop a robust understanding of a specific product or category on Amazon, analyzing various factors such as customer preferences, competitor strategies, market trends, and potential areas for growth or improvement. Throughout the project, students are expected to present a comprehensive market research report that provides actionable insights and recommendations for enhancing the product's performance on the Amazon platform. Project Description: Problem to Solve: The core challenge is to understand and analyze the market dynamics of a chosen product or category on Amazon. Students must investigate various aspects, such as customer demographics, purchasing behavior, product reviews, pricing strategies, and competitor analysis. Expected Outcomes: Market Analysis: Conduct an in-depth analysis of the selected product or category, including market size, growth trends, and customer segmentation. Competitor Assessment: Identify and analyze key competitors, their product offerings, pricing strategies, customer reviews, and overall market presence. Customer Insights: Gather and analyze data on customer preferences, purchasing patterns, and feedback. This can involve studying customer reviews, conducting surveys, or using analytical tools to understand customer behavior. Opportunity Identification: Identify gaps in the market or areas for improvement, such as unmet customer needs, pricing optimization, or product feature enhancements. Strategy Recommendations: Develop strategic recommendations based on the research findings. This could include marketing strategies, product development suggestions, or pricing adjustments. Presentation of Findings: Prepare and present a detailed market research report that encapsulates all findings, analyses, and recommendations. This report should be structured in a professional format suitable for a real-world business context. Feedback and Reflection: Receive feedback from peers, instructors, or industry professionals and reflect on the learning process, challenges faced, and skills acquired. By the end of this project, students will gain practical experience in market research, data analysis, strategic thinking, and professional communication. These skills are crucial for careers in marketing, business analysis, e-commerce, and related fields. The project will also enhance their understanding of the dynamic e-commerce landscape, particularly the Amazon marketplace.
New Product Launch - marketing, budget, and ad copy
Flights from Vancouver to Toronto are $300. Flights from Toronto to Fredericton are $600. It's absurd! Our intent is to offer an overnight bus service, starting in Moncton, connecting in Fredericton, and then driving directly to Pearson International Airport. It will cut the cost of flying out of New Brunswick in half. Our first trips will begin in December 2024. This project will put together the go to market strategy across digital and traditional media and propose ad spend in each category and some copy for the campaign.
