Re-imagining your organization in a post COVID world
MGT 601-26
A post pandemic organization environment has brought an urgent consideration of what is "leadership" in a organization and the demands on organizational culture, structures, systems, and the workplace climate. As your organization considers the meaning of leadership, you will also consider the role organizational culture, structures, systems, and the workplace climate play in creating successful outcomes and what exactly are the unique and proven factors that give meaning to those categories. The students of MBA 601 Leadership in the Global Context will diagnose your current organization "condition" and present a profile best suited to your success in an emerging landscape of opportunity. They will apply proven research and analysis models taught by their professor with experience in analyzing organizational cultures and their link to employee attitudes and actions in over 500 workplaces over the past 30 years.
Leadership in a post COVID world

COVID-19 has brought an urgent consideration of what is "leadership" in a surviving organization. While there are literally thousands of definitions of leadership going back centuries, this is the 21st Century post-pandemic (we hope) world. As your organization considers the meaning of leadership, you will also consider the role organizational culture, structures, systems, and the workplace climate play in creating successful outcomes. The students of MBA 601 Leadership in the Global Context will diagnose your current leadership condition and present a profile best suited to your success in an emerging landscape of opportunity. They will apply proven research and analysis models taught by their professor with experience in analyzing employee attitudes and actions in over 500 workplaces over the past 30 years.
What creates a positive, emotionally healthy workplace?
MGT 601-14; MGT 601-04
"Workplace wellness is a term" that describes the needs of employees in all organizations during the many ongoing changes in both your external and internal environments. In both my Leadership and Change Management courses at University Canada West in Vancouver, B.C., we deeply explore the proven needs of employees for both emotional and physical wellness, their current situation and the causes, and the proven action that can be taken to ensure a healthy and safe workplace with optimum job satisfaction. We have designed, used, and validated an employee survey tool that gives you more than just "data" but deep, clear-language answers produced through evidence-based scientific methods. My team classes are supervised by me (Dr. Eli Sopow). I have more than 30 years experience in workplace measurements at over 500 workplaces across Canada, including wellness studies for a wide range or organizations ranging from law enforcement to not-for-profit groups.
